Twenty years ago, in China, Maureen Goss was certified to teach qigong, a healing martial art based on Chinese Medicine. Since then she has taught groups small and large, ranging in age from children to the elderly. Her first student was her sister, Linda, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. Today, Linda thrives as a middle school teacher and mother of three, and is an inspiration to her students, family, friends and colleagues.
Over the years, Goss’ personal practice and teaching style evolved into a fusion of yoga stretches, Simonson dance technique movements and qigong, all three of which she has extensive training in.
In addition to acupuncture, Goss is a personal trainer in this unique exercise style designed to gently stretch muscles, strengthen bones and move the circulation in a way that, like acupuncture, serves to heal and prevent disease.
