There are a number of techniques used in treating depending on the individual’s needs:

Acupuncture:  The insertion of fine needles at specific points on the body

Gua Sha:  A form of gently rubbing the skin with a smooth edge to eliminate toxic residues which might have built up in the muscle and fascia.

Moxibustion: The burning of an herb above the skin to produce warmth in the muscles or channels to induce a smooth flow of qi and blood.

Tuina:  Chinese massage designed to stimulate circulation, release excesses, or tonify deficiencies.

The treatment area is designed to be a healing environment. Most people remark on how relaxed they feel after the session. At any point, you are encouraged to ask questions. Becoming involved in your healing process is the goal. If you have not had acupuncture before, the process will be explained.
